Description

The Nora Belle Hewitt Collection includes portraits of several members of the Edwards and Hewitt families. James A. Edwards and Lucinda S. Burton Edwards' youngest daughter, Nora Belle, married Frank B. Hewitt in Springfield, Illinois, in 1898. After her death in 1901, Frank married Nora's sister Emma. Frank and Emma had two children, Charles and Eva.

Photographs in this collection include images of Charles Hewitt, Benjamin L. Edwards. and Lucy and James Acree. The collection also includes a drawing of Frank B. Hewitt's mother, Emma and the Class of 1885 photo from the Illinois Institution for the Education of the Deaf and Dumb (now known as the Illinois School for the Deaf).
