Gov. of Illinois:

Mr. Huston, from the Committee of Ways and Means, reported bill authorizing the Secretary of the Treasury to pay to the Governor of any State, or his duly authorized agent, the by-costs, charges and expenses properly incurred by said State for arming, equipping, transporting, &5., its troops in aiding in suppressing the present insurrection against the United States. Passed.
