Dear Sir
Permit me to introduce to your favorable consideration Samuel Drake a friend & cousin of mine from the State of New York. Mr. Drake has a son in the Hospital at Quincy, which he fears from the nature of his disease, cannot render useful service in the field, without great danger to his life - From what I know of my relative, I believe him incapable of stating any thing about the condition of his Son, that is not truthful. If you can render any service to my relative in this matter I shall esteem it, a personal favor to myself - your old friend
