Madam:
His Excellency Governor Yates directs me to say in reply to your letter of the 5th inst. that he knows of no way by which you can draw your husband's wages early. He allows some part of it and authorizes the "Allotment Commissioner to pay it to you. Bridges Battery is stationed at Chattanooga Tenn.
If you will address a letter to Captn Lyman Bridges commanding the battery, he will give you the information you desire.
