The Federal Concert Orchestra performs under a tent in Springfield as part of a joint show with the Federal Theatre Players. 
On verso: "District #6 office, 835 Main Street, Peoria, Ill.; H. C. Howard, District Supervisor; Federal Concert Orchestra, now appearing under tent with the Federal Theatre Players in Springfield, Illinois. They give a half-hour concert before the start of the dramatic show, play musical accompaniments as necessary for the show, and accompany the vaudeville between the acts."
