New York Feb 3, 1864 Dear Governor, I am just going to housekeeping in New York and the drain on my purse is such that I find great difficulty in meeting my bills. Under these circumstances I have been compelled to draw on you for $200- which I trust it - will not inconvenience you to much being the amount loaned you while in New York.
