I have been to DeKalb to look after Randall he is noncommittal at present our friends there & those who assisted him to his nomination say that they can & will control him; if Fuller is opposing you I have some fears of him. do not think that Washburn can reach him directly. will look after him more hereafter. how does matters stand, please advise
