On verso: "Cotton in 'Egypt', Alexander and Pulaski Counties, Ill. All the cotton grown in Illinois is from these two southernmost counties. Cotton is important to the economy of the area. Both hand and mechanical picking can be seen in the fields in October, November, and usually in December."
