V. Resolved, That the Governor of the State, be requested to communicate to this Convention if the United States Government has notified him of its readiness to relieve the State of Illinois of further expenditure in the organization, equipment and maintenance of troops enlisted in this state for the military service of the United States. And if so, whether any arrangements have been made by him in accordance with such notification.
