On verso: "Ex-Gov. Yates extends to you a personal invitation to attend the Grand Stafe Rally to Yates forces, Saturday Evening, August 1st, in the State Armory, Springfield. Gov. Yates, Hon. Wm. Lorimer, of Chicago, and others, will speak. Grand street parade. Come! Bring the ladies. Yates Campaign Committee." Addressed to: "J. J. Keefe, 105 W. North Grand Ave, City."
