Adj. Gen Fuller.

Springfield

Illinois

Dear Sir:

I was a private in Co "I" (Capt Wolfe) 50th Ill. Volunteers (Col Bain), and yet am. But while on duty at the battle of Fort Donelson I was wounded, - having the two Middle fingers of my right hand shot away.

I got a furlough & came home, but desire to go back, and have no money nor pass. I am informed there is a Surgeon at Springfield who Can furnish me one. Will you please obtain one for me, (if this is a sufficient report of myself) so that I can go back & get my discharge

If you Cannot do so will you please inform me how I am to get back again. Communicate with D Craig Esq. of this place who will attend to the matter for me.

Yours Respectfully

Sebastian Miller X his mark

Attest D Craig
