Honorable Sir

You wil excuse the impoliteness at this time and on this subject nothing but your own generosity and the merits of him for who I plead would induce me to write. The favor I would ask is a commission for Charles Wilson (now a corporall in Co I of this regiment) in one of the companies now forming in the State. I have taken partickular notice of since we came in to the service


and I can recomend him to your favor for his gentlemanly conduct and bearing as wel as for his milatary abilaties he is well drilled in all infantry drills and has a tact at commanding and learning others to drill which few posess there are quaities combined in him which convinces me that he wil make an efficient officer if this should meet the aprobation of your eccelency please forward the commission to
