I understand that there is is to be another knew regiment formed at Quincy under the command of Col. Rowland

I would Solicit the position as Major. or let me know the best you can do for me. if any thing at all

I never was in Military duty and would not be expected at first to know much about it. For further information inquire of Col. J. F. Jaquess.
