Ottawa Nov 21st 1863

Dear Friend

Hon William Chumasen and Richard A Winslow of the city of Peru are anxious to go South to see what is going on & think that a voucher from you would pass them through Rebeldom to the very gates of Heaven & furnish them a harp Each when they get there. They are good & true men as we have in our county. The Judge you know well & for him no words are necessary. For Winslow I have to say he is all right.

Pleas send letter &c to me as they are attending court here.

I am as Ever

Yours &c W. Bushnell
