Sir:

I have the honor to ask that a detail from this regiment for recruiting Service, may be ordered to report to the Superintendent of the recruiting Service in the State of Illinois, to recruit for this Regiment,

Our present aggregate is - 383 -, and we have the full complement of field officers. I would respectfully Suggest and recommend the following officers for the detail.

Viz: Lieut Colonel Reuben. S. Sidwell

1st Lieut William Franks Co. "B"

and one non-commissioned officer from each company. to be Selected by the commanding officer of the regiment;
