Dear Sir

I received a letter to-day from the Hon. J F Farnsworth stating that a draft, for the swamp land indemnity, for this county, had been sent to you. Please inform me whether the draft has been received, and whether I can receive the money. I hold your commission dated March 1861, I think, to receive it, and the county has my bond for $10,000 well [secured?] for its safe keeping.
