This Indenture made and entered into the fourth day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and thirty Eight between Stephen A Douglass of the County of Sangamon and State of Illinois of the first part and Charles R Millson of the County of Morgan and State of Illinois of the second part: Witnesseth that the said Stephen A Douglass party of the first part for and in Consideration of the sum of Three Hundred and Thirty Three dollars in hand paid the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever the following described piece or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Morgan and State of Illinois and known and designated on the plat of the United States Survey as being an undivided interest amounting to six acres and Two Thirds of an Acre of an undivided fourth part of the East half of the South West fractional quarter and of the West half of the South East quarter of Section fifteen in Township sixteen North of Range Thirteen West of the Third principal meridian the interest hereby conveyed amounting to six acres and Two Thirds of an acre together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and to Hold the aforesaid and the above described premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Stephen A Douglass the aforesaid premises unto the said part of the second part his heirs


and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever does and will warrant and forever defend by these presents-

In witness whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written
