Hon Sir as I am a Paroled Prisoner taken at the Battle of Murfreesboro and had a long tedious time in the hands of the rebels and was one of the first to volenteer to save our country I do humbly ask of you to grant me the permission of staying at home untill I am exchanged at that time I will promtply report myself for duty I can get my amount of responsible men to vouch me if you require it
