Will you permit me to introduce to your favourable consideration George D. Kellogg Esq an Attorney & resident of Chicago for some years past. Mr. Kellogg seeks a post of danger & a post of honor and I am sure will give a good account of himself in any position he may be placed and that he will follow and defend our glorious Stars & Stripes wherever & whenever it may be necessary to do so. I will add that so far as I can judge the same spirit pervades our whole community.
