Taylor of our place who wished me to tender a Reg for him is willing to take Lieut Coly in the Regiment if you put a good capable man for Col and will get up the Regiment from the Counties of Knox, Henry, Mercer, & Warren, perhaps one Comp from Fulton. He Taylor is willing to be thoroughly examined in Military skill & tactics, if not able to pass will stand back for others to take the Regiment. The Volunteers will not leave their <hr /> without knowing they are to be accepted. If you can still find a place for them please Telegraph me here. & enclose to M.K.
