Berry late of your county you cause to be made the sum of Fifty Seven Dollars and 86 Cents, which William Watkins lately, in our Circuit Court for Sangamon County, hath recovered against him for debt in an appeal from a G P with legal interest theron from the 26 day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-4 until paid; also Eight Dollars and 16 1/4 Cents, which were ajudged to him in our said Court for costs and charges about his suit, in that behalf expended, whereof the said Abram Lincoln &amp;amp; Mr. F. Waldo Daniel Waldo, and George Waldo by and under the name and firm of James E Waldo &amp;amp; Co heretofore to wit on the 11th day of March 1834 at Meredosia in the County and circuit aforesaid made their certain note in writing bearing date the day and year aforesaid and thereby then and there acknowledged to be due on demand to the said plaintiff the sum of one hundred and thirty dollars with use (meaning interest) for value received, and then and there delivered the said note to the said plaintiff, by [mens?] whereof and by force of the Statute in such case made and provided the said defendants became liable to pay to the said plaintiff on demand the said sum of money in the said note specified according to tenor and effect of the said note, and being so liable, they, the said defendants in consideration thereof afterwards to wit on the day and year aforesaid at the county and circuit aforesaid undertook, and then and there faithfully promised the said plaintiff to pay him on demand the said sum of money in the said note specified according to the tenor and effect thereof.

&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Sec 2d  The County Commissioners court of the County of Sangamon are hereby authorized and required to cause an election to be held, on or before the first day of April next or as soon thereafter as practical and at each quadrenial election thereafter for one Justice of the Peace, and one Constable in said district.  The officers elected shall hold these offices until the next General election for Justices of the peace, at which times their successors shall be elected as in the other cases, and the persons so elected shall have and exercise the same Jurisdiction hold there offices by the same [tenure?] and be under the same regulations in all respects as other Justices of the peace and Constables of this State.

&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;lying &amp;amp; being in the County &amp;amp; State aforesaid
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;seised of the following tracts of Land, situated
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;lying &amp;amp; being in the County &amp;amp; State aforesaid viz
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Lots No. 28, 29, 30 and part of 66 of the Orig
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;inal Plat of the Town of Jacksonville, and the
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;W 1/2 of S.E. Qu of Sec 29, Town 14 N. R. 9 W. Con
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;taining 80 acres. The S 1/2 of W 1/2 of N. E. Qu of
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Sec 7 Town 13 N. R. 9 W. Containing 40 acres.
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;and a part of the W 1/2 of the S.E. Qu of Sec 9
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Town 15 N. R. 10 W. containing 10 acres and also
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Lot No 34 in Sec No 16 Town 15 N. R. 10 W.
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;containing 5 acres. Your petitioner would fur
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;ther represent that he was appointed by the Judge
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;of Probate of Morgan County administrator of the
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;personal Estate of the said Nehemiah Calkins,
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;deceased, and that as administrator aforesaid
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;he has satisfied all of the demands that have
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;been presented against said Estate, and has made
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;a final settlement of the same with the Judge
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;of Probate, without resorting to the Real Estate.
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The debts of said Estate being paid, the above
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;described real Estate as your petitioner conceives
&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;belongs to the heirs of the deceased, after setting
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;apart the widows dower. The heirs of the said
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Calkins are Silas Calkins, Mary Jane Calkins,
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Samuel Calkins, and Sarah Ann Calkins,
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;all of whom are Infants, and for whom your
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;petitioner has been duly appointed Guardian,
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;and being mindful of the responsibility impos
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;ed  on him as Guardian of said Infant heirs
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;he is clearly of the opinion that their interests
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;and the interests of each of them respectively would
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;be promoted by a partition of said real Estate
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;among them by metes and bounds equally accor
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;ding to law and would therefore pray that there
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;may be Commifsioners appointed by this Honorable

Turpin on the sixth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six at the County aforesaid wickedly and maliciously contriving and intending unjustly  to aggrieve one Moses O Bledsoe and him the said Moses O Bledsoe to put to great expense, and also to cause to be continued until the next Term a certain action on the case then and there pending in the Circuit Court for Green County and the State of Illinois for Slander wherein Moses O Bledsoe was plaintiff and the said Benjamin F Turpin was defendant came in his proper person before one John W Scott then being one of Justices of the peace for and within the County of Green aforesaid, and then and there produced a certain affidavit in writing of him the said Benjamin F Turpin, and then and there before the said John W Scott a Justice of the Peace as aforesaid, in due form of Law was sworn, and took, his corporal oath upon the Holy Gospel of God concerning the truth of the matters contained in the said affidavit (he the said John W Scott a Justice of the peace as aforesaid then and there having lawful and competent power and authority to administer the  said oath to the said Benjamin F Turpin in that behalf); and the said Benjamin F Turpin so sworn as aforesaid not having the fear of God before his eyes, but being moved and seduced  by the instigation of the Devil then and there upon his oath aforesaid, before the said John W Scott a Justice of the
