"Sir I am reliably informed that Mr Kinniment Sergt Major of your regiment , is not fit for military duty, and the chances for his recovery are doubtful. If consistant with the interests of the service, I would request you assist him in getting a discharge" I have shown the letter to Serg't Major Kinniment, who is in perfect health, and faithfully performing the duties of his office. He was sick last fall, and I had him sent north. He returned in a few weeks restored to health, and resumed the duties of his office. Four or five weeks since he was taken with diarrhea , similar to the attack of last fall, and at the time I was fearful that he would run down and have to leave the service, He, however <hr /> soon recovered from it Serg't Major Kinniment is a gentleman of fine attainments, capable of filling a higher position than the one he occupies. "Sir I am reliably informed that Mr Kinniment Sergt Major of your regiment , is not fit for military duty, and the chances for his recovery are doubtful. If consistant with the interests of the service, I would request you assist him in getting a discharge" I have shown the letter to Serg't Major Kinniment, who is in perfect health, and faithfully performing the duties of his office. He was sick last fall, and I had him sent north. He returned in a few weeks restored to health, and resumed the duties of his office. Four or five weeks since he was taken with diarrhea , similar to the attack of last fall, and at the time I was fearful that he would run down and have to leave the service, He, however <hr /> soon recovered from it Serg't Major Kinniment is a gentleman of fine attainments, capable of filling a higher position than the one he occupies.
