The convention nominated Col John Thomas and Nathl. Niles. The first named was elected to the last legislature as I understand, by about six majority, falling behind his colleague Jo. Underwood. Both of them were members of our County Court that saddled this county with an enormous debt in making a very poor job in building our Court House.
