I am not satisfied at Home I cant be content. If I could get a position that would relieve me from marching I have no doubt that I would be able to fill it. If it is the intention to organize "Invalid Corps" in the State I should like very much the position as Colonel of one of the Regiments. I think I have seen service enough to entitle me to a rank much higher than I formerly held. If the war was at an end I could content myself at Home and be glad that peace has been restored, but having been so long in the Service and seen so much of the Rebellion and Rebels, that I want to be after them again. If I could see you as we used to meet, [illegible] we were in Jacksonville I should like to sit down and give you a history of our campaigning , but I shall defer this until the war is over and you have time to listen to it.
