Chicago May 11th 1864

Govenor Yates,

Dear Sir,

It gives me great pleasure to furnish you with Report of N. Western Sanitary Fair. The order had been given, that you should be supplied, but great pressure of business, had caused detention, for which we crave your forbearance. I send you by Express to-day, 50 copies, to distribute among your friends, and one copy [per?] mail. The interest and endorsement, of our patriotic Govenor, has been the source of great pleasure and encouragement to us, in our manifold labors, and abundant success.

Yours sincerely, Mrs. A. H. Hoge
