Governor Yates Sir I address these few lines to you sir in hope that you will inform me the whereabouts of the sixteenth 16th ILL Cavalry is and how to direct a letter to one of them. I have an only brother in that regiment that I have not heard from him for one year I do not know whether he is alive or not please answer me and oblige a friend.
