I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Telegram of yesterday.

In reply to it I have to state that the US. Genl. Hospital at Mound City, Ill. does not belong to this department.

As to the other vacant beds n Illinois, the telegram will be submitted to the Medical Director for action, upon his return from an inspection tour from Illinois, which will probably be at the end of this week.

These kind of papers ought to be kept together- & we ought to keep our hospitals in State full
