Dear Sir;
Capt. Pringle & Capt. Watson are both absent. The Adjutant General informs me that Capt Watson has the papers relating to the tenure of the United States to the grounds occupied by Camp Butler, and that the papers are not in possession of the State. Capt Watson is expected here the first of the ensuing week, when I will have forwarded to you the papers you desire.
