Sir, I am well acquainted with Mr. E.D. Colgen; he has been an inhabitant of Lake Co. for many years past, and as a citizen and business man he stands among the first in the county. He is highly esteemed by all who know him for his honesty and strict integrity: in which respect, too much cannot be said for him; I would earnestly recommend him for the appointment to any position he may be an applicant for.
