Nearly a week ago I inclosed a certificate of [my?] election as Recorder of this City to Govr Yates, and requested him to send me a commission, as the statute provides. I have recd no reply. I understand he is absent It is necessary I should hold a court next week.
Will you have the goodness to forward me my commission
